ADVOCACY COORDINATOR

The American Chamber of Commerce in Belgium represents the interests of its 400 members, including some of the largest US and Belgian companies across all sectors. Advocacy is foundational to our pivotal role in improving business and investment opportunities for the US-Belgian business community. The US is the largest source of foreign investment in Belgium and its most important trading partner outside of Europe.

As AmCham Belgium’s Advocacy Coordinator

  • You are responsible for coordinating AmCham Belgium's advocacy efforts. You collaborate closely with the Chamber’s leadership to engage with policymakers and other key stakeholders. You develop strong advocacy messages to voice our members’ interests in the public debate with the goal of improving the business and investment climate.
  • You work in an exciting international environment and interact with inspiring business leaders, policymakers and key opinion leaders. 
  • You will be offered a full-time permanent contract, with an attractive salary including meal vouchers, pension plan and health insurance. 

To excel as our new Advocacy Coordinator

  • You have a higher education degree in law, economics, political science or another relevant subject.
  • You have experience in Belgian politics, an advocacy organization and/or public affairs consultancy.
  • You have excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and French.
  • You are curious, constructive and connect the dots. 
  • You subscribe to AmCham Belgium’s values.
