The American Chamber of Commerce in Belgium (AmCham Belgium) represents nearly 400 member companies, including some of the largest US and Belgian companies across various sectors. We are seeking a motivated and dynamic General Support Intern to join us as we continue to grow and strengthen our Chamber.
About the job
This position is designed for students or young graduates pursuing experience in an exciting international environment. As General Support Intern, you will help support the Chamber across its core activities—including event coordination, committee organization, membership services, and communications. Through this internship you will have the unique opportunity to interact with inspiring business leaders, policymakers, and key opinion leaders.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Events Manager in the planning, organization, and execution of events.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for AmCham’s nine policy and supporting committees, including preparation of meeting materials and note-taking during meetings.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and promotional materials.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a higher education program (Bachelor’s or Master’s level).
- Availability to work full-time during the internship period.
- Willingness and ability to attend occasional evening events.
- Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Additional preferred qualifications
- Demonstrated interest in international business, transatlantic trade, foreign direct investment, and/or policy advocacy.
- Curious, proactive, and organized with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Previous experience in an international, business, or non-profit environment is an asset.
- Working knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus but not required.
