The Human Capital and Talent Committee brings together representatives from some of the largest employers in Belgium as well as specialists from the recruitment, legal and tax professions. The role of the Committee is to promote a positive employment environment in Belgium which attracts and develops international businesses and their employees and contributes to their continued success.

Goals

• Promote best practice sharing between its members on topics like talent recruitment, retention, employee engagement and diversity & inclusion.
• Engage in a broader discussion on the future of work in Belgium, looking at the type of employment ecosystem Belgium would like and can achieve in the future.

The Committee looks to improve the innovation, investment and employment climate of Belgium through pursuing positive changes with Belgian governments aimed at:

• Reducing labor costs, administrative burdens, and unnecessary red tape.
• Enhancing labor market flexibility, including working conditions, atypical employment and remuneration.
• Addressing the talent gap, youth unemployment, and promoting continuous learning and upskilling.
• Strengthening collaboration between academia and industry and prioritizing STEM education. 
• Ensuring legal certainty in technology and data protection.
• Monitoring labor market trends such as atypical work, talent competition, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, labor mobility and new ways of working.
