Waterloo, March 19, 2025 – Mastercard today announced the appointment of Benjamin Dessy as Country Manager for Belgium and Luxembourg, effective March 10, 2025. He succeeds Henri Dewaerheijd, who will take on new responsibilities within Mastercard and oversee market development for Western Europe.
In his new role, Benjamin Dessy will lead Mastercard's operations in Belgium and Luxembourg and work closely with local customers to accelerate digital transformation and shape the future of payments.
Dessy has been with Mastercard since 2002 and brings in-depth expertise and extensive experience in the industry. Throughout his career, he has held various key positions in product management, business development, fintech engagement, and account management, both at the European and global levels. This has given him a broad knowledge of the payment and financial sector.
