Brussels, Belgium, Thursday, 20th April 2023 – ManpowerGroup has appointed Geert Volders as Director of Right Management Belgium, the expert in outplacement, career management and leadership development. Geert Volders joined the group on 3 April and takes over from Lynn Coutigny, who led Right Management Belgium for more than 25 years. A pioneer within the industry, Lynn helped set up Right Management’s Outplacement service, (for white collar and senior managers) in the Belgian labour market. Since the beginning of this year, Lynn has been enjoying a well-deserved early retirement. Geert Volders will continue to develop Right Management's leading position in outplacement by strengthening innovation and digitization of services, in addition to the human approach, and by extending the range of solutions to include career and talent management, internal mobility, re-skilling and upskilling and leadership development. Geert can build on the innovations and best practices of the international group, which has strong track records in sectors such as financial, IT, telecom, service, pharmaceutical, chemical and consumer goods. Geert Volders will report directly to the Right Management Europe structure. Locally, he will work closely with the Managing Director of ManpowerGroup BeLux, Sébastien Delfosse, and his Leadership Team.
Geert can draw on a solid background in HR consulting and has in-depth knowledge of the labour market trends in Belgium. He has also proven in the past how to clearly position and develop an HR consulting brand in close collaboration with his team and clients," says Barbera De Graaf, Regional President of Right Management Europe. Right Management will respond to these trends with its clients and focus more on innovation.
Geert Volders brings to this position his expertise in the HR consulting market, together with his international experience. Geert started his career in the FMCG sector, in marketing & sales functions (8 years at Mars, 3 years at Pepsico). In 1999 he moved to the HR services sector as director of Jobat. In 2003, he became director of Acerta Consult and developed the social secretariat consultancy division into a team of 110 consultants. In 2013, he became director of Ascento and with his team, repositioned the brand towards profitable growth. In 2000, he joined BDO Advisory as a partner in the field of organisational consulting and transformation in the HR field. In this capacity, he led several organisations in the implementation of hybrid work.
Geert Volders holds a Master's degree in psychology (KULeuven), has a special degree in marketing (EHSAL), has completed the 'Advanced Leadership' course at IMD in Lausanne, and is also certified in Prosci-ADKAR change management.
